Azzedine Alaïa’s horizontal band dresses are world-renowned. Their cut was inspired by the bandages wrapping Egyptian mummies. His vertical band dresses are less famous, yet equally fascinating. This vertical construction allows for pleats or gathers positioned at the waist or hips.
For the viscose versions, the bands are made from a single piece running from the shoulders to the floor. This was also the case for the Tribute dress, although in that design the emphasis was on gathers, whereas here it is achieved through mitered seams. Every seam is topstitched to reinforce the vertical lines.
This long dress comes in two versions:
- Matte beige viscose
- Crinkled silver viscose

Creation Journey
The Tribute dress is a couture piece, available exclusively by special order and crafted made-to-measure at our Atelier Boutique in Passage du Nord, Brussels.
Returns
Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unworn, undamaged, in their original packaging, and with all tags attached.
Made-to-order, bespoke, personalized, and pre-ordered items cannot be returned.
Refunds are processed within 14 days after inspection of the returned item.
Delivery
Orders are prepared within 2 business days and dispatched within 2–3 business days.
Delivery cost is calculated at checkout and depends of your location.
You will receive a tracking email once your order has been shipped.
Import duties and taxes outside the EU remain the responsibility of the customer.
